Where is Iron Forge Storage located?
Our self storage facility is conveniently located at 6 Westminster Dr. Carlisle, PA 17013 right off Exit 48 (Rt. 74) of I-81 N. Across from the Microtel by Wyndham.

What are your office hours?
Our office is open from 9am to 2pm (Mon, Tues., Thurs., & Fri.) and Saturday 9am to 1pm. PHONES ANSWERED Mon.-Fri. 9am to 5pm and Sat. 9am to 1pm. CLOSED SUNDAY AND WEDNESDAY (Phones monitored remotely on Wednesday).
**Occasionally our office may need to operate remotely, but is available by phone and typically available within 5-10 minutes for necessary on-site appointments. Accomodating our customers is our #1 goal!

What are your access hours?
Our gate is open to our customers 7 days/week from 7:00am to 9:00pm during Daylight Savings Time. Access outside these hours may be accomodated with prior notice. For security reasons, we ask that no move in's or move out's take place after dark.

What is drive-up access?
Drive-up access allows you to park your vehicle in front of your unit and complete your move in minutes. At Iron Forge Storage, loading and unloading your items will be that easy!

Is renter's insurance required?
Yes, we require all our tenants to obtain renter's insurance. If you do not have insurance, we offer a protection plan to our customers through SafeLease for as little as $12/mo. IFS Rentals is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged.

How do I move out and terminate my lease agreement?
We kindly ask for 30 days notice prior to your move out. Notice may be given in writing by email or by phone. The unit must be broom swept and free of debris and all locks must be removed so the unit can be checked. All trash is the responsibility of the occupant. Move-outs must take place before the 1st of the next month to avoid being charged for a full month's rent. We DO NOT prorate move-out's.

Are any items prohibited from being stored?
Yes, items prohibited are outlined in Section 6 of our lease agreement. In summary, we do not allow food products of any kind including animal feed (hay/straw) since this attracts pests and requires remediation. A $200+ fine will be charged for infestations/damages. Also, items that are toxic, hazardous, flammable and illegal are not permitted.

Does IFS offer climate controlled units or electricity? Our units are vented and allow for some air flow, however, our units are not climate controlled or set up to provide electricity.

What happens if I miss a payment?
A late fee will be assessed and applicable lien laws will go into effect after 30 days late. Access to your unit will be denied until your account is brought to current. Auction proceedings will begin after 60 days late and proper notification will be emailed or mailed.
How can I make a payment?
Payments can by made any time through our website, over the phone during normal office hours, by mail or dropped through our office mail slot.

What information is needed to rent a storage unit?
We ask for a valid driver's license and proof or choice of insurance within 3 days of move-in. If storing a vehicle, we will need proof of insurance, a copy of vehicle registration, title and any applicable lien information.

What are your facility’s security features?
Our self storage facility is fully fenced, gated, well-lit, and equipped with security cameras throughout the area allowing safe and secure storage of your belongings. Online access is also available through our website allowing our customers the ability to remotely access accounts, make payments or move in!

How do I get started?

Is there a security deposit?
Yes, we require one month's rent for a security deposit. The security deposit will be fully refunded within 3-5 business days once move-out takes place and the unit is checked and is broom-swept and free of debris. Move-out's must take place before the 1st of the next month to avoid being charged a full month's rent. We do not prorate going out.

Do you offer vehicle storage?
Yes, we have indoor units available to accomodate many size vehicles (10x20 recommended) as well as available outdoor parking. License, insurance, registration, title and lien holder information (if applicable) required. For outdoor parking, please call for pricing and availability.

What type of lock is required?
IFS operates in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Lien Laws who require round disk locks as these are the most secure. Some insurance companies may also waive deductibles if these locks are used. Locks, if needed, may be purchased from our office. You are storing at your own risk and IFS is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged.

Can I transfer to a bigger or smaller unit if necessary?
Yes, we can transfer you to a different unit at any time and any applicable credits will be given for prior payments. Otherwise, accounts will be adjusted accordingly. There is no transfer fee if completed within 3 days or less.

What measures are taken to ensure clean and pest free units?
Each unit is checked upon move out that it has been maintained and has been broom swept and free of debris. Routine maintenance is also performed to ensure doors and latches are working properly and any other visual concerns are addressed. Units are also baited with small green blocks for rodents as a preventative measure. CAUTION: Please be aware of these and be sure not to handle!
